Whether you have an hour on a weekday or a full Saturday, there's a visit option that works for you.

Visit Options
Visit on your own schedule. Available Monday – Friday at 9:30 a.m., 12:00 p.m., and 2:30 p.m., Utica University Daily Visits feature a one-on-one conversation with an admissions counselor and a student-led walking tour of campus. You'll get a closer look at our academic facilities, residence halls, campus dining venues, and athletics complex. Please plan on spending about 90 minutes with us.
When you arrive, check in at the Cynkus Family Welcome Center. Parking details are emailed upon registration.
Can't get away during the week? Spend a Saturday with us! Saturday@Utica gives you a brief information session with an admissions counselor followed by a campus tour. You'll learn about majors, academic opportunities, admissions, residence life, and financial aid, all in one morning.
Open House is our biggest visit day of the year, offering the most complete picture of Utica University you can get in one trip. Prospective students and their guests can:
- take part in interactive sessions on admissions, financial aid, academics, and student life
- meet the faculty and current students in the programs they care about
- explore campus
- join us for lunch
It's a great way to get a closer look at life as a Pioneer. Don't miss it!
Skip the wait. With Trax's Fast Pass, submit your materials on the portal, and an admissions counselor reviews them with you in-person. Most students leave with an admission decision on the same day! It's the fastest way to go from "just looking" to "I'm in."
Thinking about transferring to Utica? Let's talk! Bring your unofficial transcript and sit down with our transfer counselor. You'll get an unofficial evaluation of how your credits will apply at Utica, and you'll see what your path to a degree could look like. Along the way, you can meet current transfer students, ask about financial aid and scholarships for transfers, and get a feel for campus life.
What to bring: Unofficial transcripts from every college you've attended.
Come see what a Utica evening feels like! U-Nite brings prospective students together for a BBQ and a chance to cheer on the Pioneers alongside current students. It's a relaxed, low-pressure way to experience campus energy and community.

Want to know what it's really like to be a Utica student? Spend the day with one! Pioneer for a Day pairs you with a current student host who shares your interests. You'll sit in on a class, have lunch in the Dining Commons, and see the parts of campus life that a tour can't show you.

How To Find Utica University
Utica University's 128-acre main campus is located in a largely residential section of Utica, NY, a small, vibrant city in central New York with a rich history. Utica is 50 miles east of Syracuse and 90 miles west of Albany, approximately five hours by car from New York City, Boston, Philadelphia, and Montreal. (Learn more about Utica.)
From points east and west
Travel the New York State Thruway I-90 to Exit 31 (Utica). Follow the signs carefully to Route 12 South and take the Burrstone Road/Utica University exit. The exit ramp ends at a stop light; take a left onto Burrstone Road West and look for the sign marking the entrance to Utica University (on the right).
From New York City
Take the New York State Thruway I-87 North to I-90 West. See the above paragraph for directions from the Thruway.
From Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey
Take I-81 North or other connecting routes to Route 12. Follow Route 12 North to Utica. Exit at Burrstone Road/Utica University. Follow exit ramp to Burrstone Road West and look for the sign marking the entrance to Utica University (on the right).
From the north
Take Route 12 South to Utica. Exit at Burrstone Road/Utica University. The exit ramp ends at a stop light; take a left onto Burrstone Road West and look for the sign marking the entrance to Utica University (on the right).

Why Not Fly?
If you live more than five hours driving distance from Utica University, just book a flight into Syracuse NY or Albany NY and we will reimburse you for half of your ticket price, up to a total of $150. If you choose to enroll here, we will reimburse you for the remainder of your ticket price, up to $300.
